El futuro con «will» (The future using ‘will’)

El futuro con «will» es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza en inglés para hablar de decisiones espontáneas, predicciones, promesas y ofertas relacionadas con el futuro. En el nivel A2, es importante aprender a formar y usar «will» para expresar acciones futuras de manera sencilla.

Cómo se forma el futuro con «will»:

1. Estructura de afirmativas:
   • Se usa «will» seguido del verbo en su forma base:
     • I will (I’ll) visit my grandparents. (Visitaré a mis abuelos.)
     • They will (They’ll) play soccer tomorrow. (Ellos jugarán al fútbol mañana.)
2. Negativas:
   • Para formar oraciones negativas, se añade «not» después de «will» (will not o la contracción won’t):
     • I will not (won’t) go to the party. (No iré a la fiesta.)
     • She will not (won’t) eat pizza tonight. (Ella no comerá pizza esta noche.)
3. Preguntas:
   • Para hacer preguntas, se invierte el orden de «will» y el sujeto:
     • Will you visit your friend? (¿Visitarás a tu amigo?)
     • Will he play tennis next week? (¿Él jugará al tenis la próxima semana?)

Cuándo usar «will» para hablar del futuro:

1. Decisiones espontáneas:
   • I’m thirsty. I think I will drink some water. (Tengo sed. Creo que beberé un poco de agua.)
   • It’s raining. I will take an umbrella. (Está lloviendo. Tomaré un paraguas.)
2. Predicciones basadas en lo que creemos o pensamos:
   • I think it will be sunny tomorrow. (Creo que mañana hará sol.)
   • She will pass the exam. (Ella aprobará el examen.)
3. Ofertas y promesas:
   • I will help you with your homework. (Te ayudaré con tu tarea.)
   • I promise I will call you later. (Prometo que te llamaré más tarde.)
4. Para expresar hechos futuros o cosas que pasarán con certeza:
   • The meeting will start at 10 am. (La reunión empezará a las 10 de la mañana.)
   • The train will arrive on time. (El tren llegará a tiempo.)
5. Para hacer sugerencias o pedir información:
   • Will you join us for dinner? (¿Te unirás a nosotros para cenar?)
   • Will you help me with this? (¿Me ayudarás con esto?)

En el nivel A2, aprender a usar «will» es esencial para poder hablar de eventos y acciones futuras de manera sencilla. Practicar la formación de afirmativas, negativas y preguntas con «will» te ayudará a comunicarte más efectivamente sobre el futuro en inglés.
